ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Nancy Greyson Beckerman is a mother, teacher, artist, swimmer,
student of karate, docent, caregiver, and medical office manager.
In 1998 Beckerman’s husband of 33 years was diagnosed with sarcoma, a
deadly form of cancer. For the next four years, the couple fought the
disease together, managing to take vacations and celebrate family
occasions, in between cancer treatments.
Beckerman started keeping a journal during this time, and continued
writing for about a year after her husband’s passing. This manuscript
is the result of that endeavor.
